PSHE at Tirlebrook Primary School
British Values
At Tirlebrook, children learn to have their voices heard through School Council, House Captains and voting on class decisions. Each aspect supports their understanding of the electoral process.
Children are encouraged to make choices safely, such as choosing to take responsibility in class or through selecting to join extra-curricular clubs activities.
At Tirlebrook, we promote an ethos of empathy and kindness, where children understand that their behaviour affects others.
Rules are taught and reinforced, shaping children's understanding that laws (including school rules) protect people. At Tirlebrook, children demonstrate the school rules as attitudes, where they strive to ensure they are READY, RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE and SAFE.
We teach children to accept and understand the different and diverse traditions, cultures, and faiths of others, often through Religious Education (RE) and multicultural celebrations.
